So I'm looking to upgrade to a half-stack for playing shows and ****. My style is mainly hardcore, but I'm looking for something that could play anything from poppy sounding **** to grindcore.

Good for what I'm looking for?
If not plz give suggestions.

i think so.
that's a rig that anyone could be proud of. I wasn't aware that musician's friend was doing that package, If you're interested, id say that you should go for it.

What kind of bass are you most likely going to be using?
But in any case, that amp should get the job done.

Yeah, this amp looks like a good deal. The cabinet is 110 lbs. Holy ****. At least it's on wheels.

IMO, one of the best 4x10s out there.

Perfect head and cab. If I had the money, I would so buy myself one of those. The SVT3 pro is very verstaile and the cab is like thunder. Without a doubt you will be more than happy with that rig.

Currently I use an Ibanez SRX-505 but I'm not a 5 string guy so I'm looking to sell it and then buy a new 4-string, probably a model simular (Like the SRX-500 or SR-500).
Unless you guys have some suggestions...

It's very good, but like all Ampeg gear, overpriced.

Ampeg makes good amps, I just think there are better cabs for the price. Also look used. Craigslist, Talkbass classifieds, anything.

Ok thanks. Do you recommend any cabs besides the one I listed? Because there's a lot on craigslist and talkbass.

Ampeg if you want a versatile cab. Hartke if you want a hard attacking trebly cab. Avatar would be up there too, good versatile cabs and great wattage for its price.

Not to mention, they are built like tanks.

Versatile...
Since when does that word mean "sounds just like that one singular ampeg sound"?

I like the ampeg sound. I think it's overpriced. I also don't think it's versatile, as ampeg always sounds like ampeg. Not bad, but not versatile.

The ultimate question is:
I don't know. Is it?

That rig should do you fine. Personally I wouldn't buy that setup, having said that there is nothing wrong with, its a matter of personal opinion. Theres more versatile/lighter gear out there for around the same price.

I wouldn't say that! My 4x10" is, like, 44kg, as well as the 1x15" is, like, 32kg. I don't think they are heavy because I am Hulk and whatnot, but, yeah, for the average Joe, they might be back-breakers.

compared to a "normal" non-neo 4x10, it's like half the weight.
In the end, avatar is something you shoud like into avatar.

Oh, see, I have never had the opportunity to move a non-Neo 4x10" because they were all in the store. :p
Actually, I have helped other bassists move their rigs and such, but there were two of us, so the load did not seem that great.

Complaining about kilograms. Apparently googling two conversions is too much work.

Imperial =/= American.
Imperial =/= American.
The American system is based off the Imperial system and has very few differences amirite

In American please?
(kg) * 2.2 = (lbs)
There is your conversion where (kg) and (lbs) are any set of numbers. To convert from lbs to kg, you would use this:
(lbs) / 2.2 = (kg)
Again, (lbs) and (kg) are any set of numbers.
Shall we move on to our next lesson of converting miles to kilometres?
Ah, du kommst aus Wisconsin. Ich verstehe.

Pretty good rig for that price. Built strong too.
If you're doing any touring/lots of driving, it'll definitely suit.
