Hey guys,
I've been meaning to do this for awhile but I've been busy with college and that crap lol.
Well I'm looking to start playing/incorporate funk into my playing. So can you guys recommend me some funk songs or a website with some lessons or technique.
Thank you

Tommy the Cat by Primus, Get up and Jump by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Redefine by Incubus. If you know how to slap, you should be fine with all the above songs.

^Uh...
Rock music + slapping =/= funk.

Maybe, but it's funky, so it's definitely worth checking out.

I still think that a few Primus and RHCP songs can be considered funk.

I have a Sailing the Seas of Cheese official tab book and in it, it says that Tommy the Cat is funk at a moderate tempo. I guess Cherry Lane music company is wrong.

Funk is both a feel and a genre of music.

Funk is both a feel and a genre of music.

I have seen all kinds of crap written as style notes for music. Like you say, it just is supposed to give you an idea.
I promise you that very few of the middle school jazz band sheets labeled "med rock" really are.
