Eh, in my case, if I need to work on an essay on zee computer, the internet is a major source of procrastination. Chatting, wikipedia, girls with not a lot of clothing on and doing various things to various body parts, etc... So yeah, a ban can help stop one aspect of procrastinating.

Question: Why is that sometimes I click on a thread, and instead of taking me to the last page and most recent post, it instead directs me to an older page (usually the one before the most recent page, but occasionally, two or three pages back)?

Nah I had the same issues when I modded and if you IP ban as well as perma ban every known account, sooner or later people will take a hint.

IP banning at the very least is a longer deterrant then just banning the account itself. With all the work that has to be done maybe he'll give up.

Also, the fact that MX doesn't email verify accounts, forcing the user to have a different email for each account is lunacy. The mail service is taxing on the server though and just ends up costing more money.

I suppose in the end it is what it is. Simple e-mail verification would be the win, and not allowing the same email to be used to each account would also be the win.

Yes it will be a deterrent, but if he knows what he is doing, it is so easy to change IP's, and get around the bans.

1) he never changes IPs, they are all 24.23.whatever
2) regular users without access to other users' IPs can tell which accounts are Tronn. so it doesnt matter if the IPs match or don't match, it's still Tronn.
