Hey guys, sorry I'm late this week, I've been crazy busy lately.


Anyways, this week's upload is "Burning Off Impurities," by post-rock band Grails. It's a little bit different from the more popular post-rock bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky. They manage to incorporate a little bit of Eastern sound into the music, which leads to some very unique, interesting music.


I had a request for some post-rock a couple weeks ago, but couldn't decide which album to pick until tonight. So, sorry it took so long, but here you go. I'm using Sendspace this time, because my internet was moving very slow and MediaFire wasn't working. Let me know how you like the host.

just having a skim through some of the songs... Very unique and enjoyable. Sounds like music you would hear from games and TV Docos.. etc such as diablo2 and the likes.

I would review them all but I haven't had a chance to listen to all of them thanks to vacation + getting ready for uni :(

I think the music on this one is a bit tame. Silk Road gets quite good half way through.

For the next MXDP Upload, I highly recommend the Twelve Moons album by Jan Garbarek.

It is a fantastic album, with really soulful (and sometimes technically astounding) drum and percussion playing, with Manu Katche on drumkit and Marilyn Mazur on percussion.

I'll consider it, but other people have requested things before it, so I have to take that into account.
