Y'know, I don't feel like I deserve to fail. I do however think that I need to start revising earlier for sure. Like, a month earlier.

I turned up to like, every lecture for these exams, hopefully it won't be too hard to cram.

Wish the libraries were open.

just play on ableton

i need to do this more, i can pretty much only record so far, tried to create a drum track the other week but gave up cos it was too time consumingly boring!

whats a good, fairly easy to use drum track maker (or whatever its called)?

Surf
01-03-2009, 05:16 PM
ableton and reason are fairly easy for making drum tracks

ableton live would be pretty decent if you needed to play stuff live.

there's some stand alone drum programs, but tbh they don't have the depth of reason or ableton, so its worth taking the time to learn how to use the effects etc

Bruce E Kinesis

I do find the arranging more confusing than in reason.

facebook is designed to let people share photos and invite people to parties

I'd personally recommend Frankie, if you're not too bothered about the social side of halls, stay at home as long as possible. In my experience, you waste tons of money living in halls, like you don't even care about the stuff, whereas my mates from uni who live at home are loaded, because they don't go on as many nights out, it's easier for them to keep jobs all year round, plus parents don't ask for as much towards food etc as you have to pay for rent, food, bills, etc. But it all really depends what experience you're looking for at the end of the day.

i loved the challenges like that. our bar used to do happy half hours, so from 7-7.30 8-8.30 etc until about 12 all pints were £1.

so the challenge was get three pints at the hour, every hour until close, then go out.

the bar would be dead until the hour struck and then there would be this huge rush to the bar. we got clever and made friends with all the staff.

jamjar602

One of the unions in Glasgow used to do that until the council's licensing board banned all happy hour type promotions :(

I'm intrigued by this Hall Bar thing, we don't have anything like that up here, the unis generally just have one main union, some push the boat out and have 2 unions, but not for the halls specifically, must be a good way to meet folk i guess?
