Sooo... as I was drifting into sleep I was jarred back into consciousness by the vision of a new Silverchair music video on my television.
Thoughts?

They were good in the 90's but not any more.

not really a fan, they're pretty popular around here though. they went to my highschool
this would probably be better suited in R&M anyway.

I like it for what it is, but I have a hard time believing that's Daniel Johns on vocals and guitar. He just looks and sounds so different.

I heard Israel's Son last week on the radio. I hadn't heard it in a really long time and I was like "**** YEAH!!"

That's classic.
I'm partial to their new album, I think it's a lot better than Diorama. However, they really did do their best when they were still teenagers, ironically. Frogstomp and Freak Show are classic. Much better grunge/hard rock than anything to come out of Seattle.
But then again, they are Australian.

Not a chance. The songs are good but a lot of the lyrics are pretty obvious that they're written by 14/15 year olds.
That's true. The music is better though.
You never need to feel guilty about anything an Australian does, Chris. Especially not about last night. ;)

I could go either way on that one.
But Alice in Chains ftw no matter what.
Nah. If I wanted repetitive and bland modern rock I'd just visit myspace to get my fix for free.

You could still do that if you want, but in the meantime throw on some AIC and listen to some emotional and brilliant modern rock.:)
