Ok, so here is the deal...

I've been messing around on my cheap $150 Yamaha portable keyboard within the last few months and I've been able to create some really nice piano music. I actually play drums, so "keyboard drumming" is yet another thing I've been able to keep up with very well.

My only problem now is I'm tempted to purchase the very expensive Korg Karma...but I feel I could probably buy something A LOT cheaper because I only desire the following in a portable keyboard...

1. GREAT A+ Piano Sound(s) / Drum Sound(s)...WITH AFTERTOUCH!!

2. Preferably 61 keys...

3. USB Connectivity - Toss music onto computer easily.

4. 4 or 5 Tracks (Layers) that can be used for recording. My crappy Yamaha only has two tracks, which means I can record a piano part and some other part but that's it. This Karma has 16 tracks...I believe.

At the same time I feel I can take my music to a whole new level with the Korg Karma. Then again, from most of the previews and samples I've heard, it's only good for dance music. I feel I'd be paying mostly for other effects and stuff I don't really care about.

But I don't know...the Yamaha MM6 looked great until I realized there wasn't an aftertouch. Maybe there is some other $500-600 keyboard out there that rules? I'm not a beginner...I really want to focus on this music thing. Let me know what you guys think or give me some ideas for great keyboards (preferably some of you who've worked with a lot of keyboard workstations)...

I'll pay $1500 if it's worth it. That's probably my limit money-wise, but if I can pay $600 for the same thing, I'd rather.
