Hello everybody,

I got a new guitar student, that I like to teach the very basics of blues (I often start with that, because it's foolproof-simple, sounds cool and I always got positive response so far). I'm now looking for these damn notes for weeks. I got them from a friend but it seems as if I've thrown the notes away the last time I messed up with all my sheets.

Even in the internet I couldn't find what I'm looking for - what really amazed me. Now I hope you can help me.

The Rythm is the standart AADE-Pattern (AADA DDAA EDAE). Now the solo must be something with 4 or 5 notes using the A-pentagonic (or blues scale). Does anybody know what notes are to play?

Thanks indeed for all responses
Simon

PS It really is amazing. I taught that stuff so often and now that I lost the tabs I can't rember it. Do I have to worry?

Actually I tend to but the V at the end, especially if its nice and high and maybe with an add9.

pentagonic haha! :p

Nah it's all good man. So you want the notes of an A pentatonic scale? Major or minor?
A Pentatonic Major: A, B, C#, E, F#

A Pentatonic Minor: A, C, D, E, G

A Pentatonic Blues: A, C, D, E, Eb, G

Is that what you wanted? I didn't really understand

I don't understand how someone who has been playing long enough to teach can just forget the pentatonic scale
