Starting now. Tell me what stuff I should be watching for.

I started off with Ringworm...and it's ok but not great. Tell me what was good, bad, etc...

Let me know if you want a copy of anything from this summer off a major metal label, I probably have it.

Try listening to the new As I Lay Dying and Through the Eyes of the Dead CDs and decide which one sucks more (the answer will shock you....or maybe not :p ).

None, all on the job training. I am doing it at college though so it could be different than professionally.

Pay for me=early copies of CDs, free tickets to shows and interviews with bands. Good trade imo.

Yes, it depends on the school you go to but at my school you volunteer for a 2 hour shift once a week and that's all the commitment you have to make besides training and of course coming prepared and such. As a department director I have more work but also more perks.

By that you mean any song which doesn't contain a "****", "****" or "cunt", etc etc? Because our lyrics don't contain any curse words really..:p

We still get e-mails on myspace asking if we're a Christian band because our name is With Faith or Flames...annoys the hell out of us. We put up an FAQ on there with that question, clearly saying "no we're not a Christian band, we're not going to sell Jesus" but kids are retarded and ignore that...name change maybe?

Wait, didn't you used to say you were 'sort of' a christian band?

Shred Danson
08-18-2007, 06:43 PM
We were sort of a christian band, but that was when our old guitarist controlled the band. He left and we changed our direction (this was before I was in the band btw), and decided that ministry wasn't our "calling" felt it was wrong to "sell Jesus". So the past year or two we've dropped the Christian label, yet people still think we are a Christian band. Then get disappointed when we tell them we don't want to sell Jesus.

encmetalhead

quick question: Say the band cusses but it's not understandable, would you still have to edit it?

Most labels send clean copies to the radio though.

By the way, we know it's a stupid name ;)

yeah we have a copy of protools at the station but i'd rather do little soundbytes and intros with my production time versus editing songs. tbh if they don't give me recommended tracks and i don't dig it on first listen it probably doesn't even make the playlist.
