Agreed without the whole Soviet Union and communium I highly doubt we are on the verge of a new cold war.

Putin is just trying to make Russia look important again...I think all these former Soviet republics getting close to the West is starting to piss him off.

russia it just sending the message they wont be pushed around, not quite non-issue I would say but nothing to get excited about.

I say good on them [not in an anti-american way]. It's good that Russia is economically strong enough to do this now, they were doing it tough for a long while. Lets hope they sink some money into social issues.
