So, who is YOUR favorite guitar player, and why?

Paul Kantner and Pete Townshend. They both play rythm and extraordinary solos during the same song. They go from rythm to solo to rythm like nothing. Paul Kantner I really enjoy listening to as he helped define Jefferson Airplane as a band. He was originally a jazz player, that's where he came up with Embryonic Journey, the music for White Rabbit, and countless other Airplane songs. He further helped the band when they became Jefferson Starship in '74. Pete Townshend needs no explanation. His skills are implied.

Everyone post with opinions, and tell who is their fave and why. Thanks

I admire and respect many guitarists, but my favorite happens to be in my band and he is my brother- in- law.

Does he know you once impersonated him on MX? Serious question.

I also like David Bowie. He was and is the father of glam rock. He was criticized heavily when he started out in the late sixties. He soon overcame this. Later in the '70's, he was big, in the '80's he was huge. Sell out wherever he played.

He once entered the stage on the basket of those cherry picker trucks. The arm holding the basket got stuck. He sat for 3 hours and performed his entire concert. 2 hours after everyone left, they got the arm fixed and he came down. Adapt and overcome they say. :chug:

He was right along side of me, so yeah, I guess so..
What has that got to do with him as a guitarist?
I hope you're not turning into a troll Jude..
