Anyone still listen to this group?

I've recently gotten a hold of Unknown Pleasures and Substance, being tempted to seek out more of their work outside of their song Love Will Tear Us Apart which i must have listened to hundreds of times.

They are a very depressing band, as most people tend to say, the minimalism and repetition to their sound is very effective. I've started listening to Unknown Pleasures constantly of late.

Really good band. One of my all-time favorites for sure...they have this really cold bleak sound to them I love.

I've been listening to Closer for the first time today. I don't think I like it as much as Unknown Pleasures, but it's still cool.

Joy Division are a great band for sure.

Why would that be lame?

one of my favourite bands of all time.

me and my friends always rave about how good No love lost is, the middle part when he's speaking about the tortured woman..its pretty creepy.

favourite songs would be:

No love lost
Dead souls
She's lost control
Transmission
Decades
A means to an end
New dawn fades..

**** it i could go on and on!

I'm listening to New Order now, I haven't really listened to them before. I've got the album of singles. It's really really good so far.

Not a big fan of this band. I think I referred to them once as "the Doors if the Doors were monotonous, pseudo-intellectual epileptics from some industrial shithole in Northern Britain". Regardless, though, "Love will Tear Us Apart" is an amazing song.

Has anyone else seen 24 Hour Party People?

They're hit or miss. Unknown Pleasures has it's moments though.

This made me laugh, i can understand where you are coming from. Regardless i still like Joy Division, along with The Doors for all the criticism they pull.

You are a squirrel.

Is that a bad thing? I can't remember which curse word "squirrel" was the filter-replacement for...
