I listened to Super ae 3 times yesterday. Awesome album. I have that, Chocolate Synthesizer and Poptari. Very diverse, noisy, and all around awesome band.

Let us discuss Boredoms.

Never got into Super ae that much but I sure do love Vision Creation Newsun. I put on Chocolate Synthesizer and/or Pop Tatari when I'm in the mood.

I'd never gotten around to these guys. A friend of mine sent me an album, but it was missing songs and ****, so I just deleted it (I'm kind of weird about that). I'm listening to Super ae for the first time now and holy **** I like this.

Boredoms is rad. The splinter bands/projects are kinda neat, too. My friend saw OOIOO when they were in the states earlier this year. Kinda wish I went.

I have Vision Creation New Sun. It never really stood out to be that much, but I guess I'll give it another listen.

Listened to Vision Creation Newsun, and after one listen each, I like Super ae a lot more.

Vision Creation Newsun is my favourite. Awesome band I'M SEEING THEM LIVE IN OCTOBER WOOO!

I much prefer their more coherent psychedelic stuff to the earlier albums which at times are just a structureless mess, and not in a good way. Pop Tatari and Chocolate Synthesizer have some great moments (ACID POLICE!), but there's so much filler as well, especially on Pop Tatari. Yeah, with Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun/Super AE/Super Roots is where it's at.

Taiga by Ooioo is good too.

They play a show here in Toronto in September I think but I'll be out of town when that happens. Bummer. Speaking of OOIOO I think I listened to Taiga even before listening to anything Boredoms and I didn't like it that time. I got Gold and Green recently and it's really good, so I'll d/l that one again soon.
