Since the first listen i've knew this band would be my favorite for the rest of my life!! In 2003 i've bought their two first records, Wasteland Serenade and The Sideshow but none of their others was released here in Brazil again or even in the U.S. so as a band from Norway i've should import their staff from europe but the price would been too expensive.. Fortunately i could talk with "Rolf" the vocalist of the new album (what a nice guy! :thumb: ) and he sent to me those albuns wich i haven't yeat!! That explain why i cannot post all Griffin staff here! (will be not fair right?)

Some reviews:
5/5
'A mix of classic heavy, melodic hard and techno thrash which is Sideshow will remind you of the likes of Exodus, Dark Angel, Megadeth (if you've already forgotten) and many others… A 100% guitar-oriented music that is comprised of armour-piercing riffs, brain-boggling solos and pretty ****ing heavy rhythm department. Plus a great harsh voice and sharp-as-a-scalpel instrumental technique. In short, our congratulations to Season of Mist with their great tastes and to ourselves for we've got another chance to familiarize ourselves with the music of the long-past 80's.'

'Their first album kicked ***, this one kicks MORE ***!'

'This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Norwegian metal at its finest.'

'I'm thrilled by enthusiasm! I'm sitting here with an album that no longer makes me wanna die by embarrassment when it comes to Norwegian, classical heavy metal. It gets straight home from the very first moment, and after another 50 listenings, it's still brilliant. Norwegian metal at it's very best. A beautiful, instrumental song "The Last Rays of a Dying Sun" is the only thing that comes close to being a ballad. But that track only seems like the icing on the cake!'
Musikkavisen Spot, (Norway)
'This will bring you right back to the days of denim, leather and motorbikes!! For example, "Freakshow" and "Horrific" are displays of some exemplary guitarwork courtesy of Marcus Silver and Kai Nergaard. They manage to sound both expert and intricate without becoming a boring display of ability, yet at the same time the melodies themselves sound more complex and less superficial. What Griffin lacks in hooks, they return in muscle, so fans of pure metal should go for this!'
Terrorizer Magazine, (England)
5/6
'The members have grown tremendously as songwriters! This is awesome stuff, and the sound quality is very consistent throughout the entire album. You can draw references to Iron Maiden regarding harmonies and bass, but Griffin defines their own musical expression, and I'm already looking forward to album no. 3. Griffin is a band to be considered. Check it out!!'
Scream Magazine, (Norway)
'Griffin sounds like the heavy metal dinasaurs of the 80's. The twin guitars are fast, furious and melodic. The album is authentic, honest and the musicians have recorded it with their hearts.'
Metal reviews
7,5/10
'The songs are considerably playful and magnificently hymnic. It's dark and thoughtful heavy metal. Despite unchallenged, traditional elements, they keep a distinct individuality. All along are lively and motivated. With a flair for fascinating and evocative songs, the album is an interesting and emotional experience.'
Metal-Online, (Germany)
'Good songs...cool, double guitar riffs...this album is easy to like.'
Adresseaveisen, (Norway)

'The album is plain and simple very good!! It takes an experienced listener to catch all the tight riffs with the powerful, technical way they play.'
Heavy Oder Was, (Germany)
7/10
'Griffin has made their first,"real" album. There are one or two minor set backs, but they compensate for it with great, smashing songs like "Horrific" and "What if".'
Rock Hard, (Germany)
'These Norwegians dare to do something different. Just listen to the beautiful instrumental parts, especially "The last rays of a dying sun". Their sound is good, the riffs are cracking and very much NWOBHM oriented throughout the album.'
CD maximum, (Russia)
'Griffin is a wonderful contribution to the genre, with their aggressive and powerful attitude. High Class!!'
Metal Dragon, (Sweden)
8/10
'It's constantly varying and interesting. With great luck the quintet manages to mix the best elements from the style/genre. Whenever played, this album brings back the good memories of the heavy metal of the 80's.'
