yeah... this is not alternative... at all.
but what it _is_ is good s'hit. I was headbanging to "The Fight and the f...", and in comes the vocals and I think I just popped a boner... even though looking back on that sentence, I realize I come off as really, REALLY gay - I don't regret it. seriously - these vocals are OUTSTANDING!
and now that I'm done shitting my pants over how good the vocals are (around 3:10), I'm headbanging like a lunatic. the awesomeness of the guitars kept company by the heavy drums... cut it. or as Borat Sagdiyev would've said, very nice:thumb:
wow. skipping to track two. and to my somewhat surprise, it's a totally different kind of music. and I hereby withdraw my comment about you not being alternative at all. though the little Hüsker Dü-like touces are kind of buried in loud, catchy and mad good distortion - they're definitely there. the vocals are... yeah. I'm not even gonna go there. the drumming... wow, I'm at 2:20 - and the guitars are making it hard to breathe right now... ok they're done kicking ***. back to the drummer. he's tight. he really kills the drums like Dave Grohl. I dig the '90s heavy metal vibe he brings to the music. and holy s'hit, the track's over. I dunno if I'm s'posed'a be sad 'cos 'twas a great track, or happy 'cos the ending was really cool... yeah, I'm gonna go with number two here since I can always put on the track again. after I've listened to the third track, obviously.
as I press play, I notice a photograph of some tree(s), and I furthermore take a moment to stare at your background image. cool stuff. reminds me of home.
but f'uck that s'hit. back to the music. the guitars and drums come in, and just hit me in the gut. and the vocalist is at my throat with his yelling and somewhat angry tone. he does a good job not to be buried under the heavy and melodic chord progression combined with the strategic slow drumming. I also enjoy this little change of pace you make somewhere in the third minute. I basically like it all. damn.
I was initially going to listen to some more artists here on audio arena, but f'uck that. this is going on repeat till bedtime.
**** you guys are the ****.... whos the signer????/

Cheers for the comments guys! The EP isn't completed yet, but we're recording the rest on 18th August. Just so you know, pretty much all the instruments were tracked together live so that's why the sound isn't 'studio perfect'.

Yeah, the slight "unruliness" only adds to it. This ain't really my type of music, but it's very good for what it is.

Nice stuff, the singer has a fairly recognizable and distinguish voice.

Any more critiques on our stuff folks? I'd like to post some well written reviews on our website if you know anyone (person/ website/magazine) that does reviews of demos etc.

I could write a review about how much it sucks?
I have an Angry Music Nerd project thing where I butcher stuff for fun (even stuff I really like) :p
The backing vocals near the end of Siren fit in well.
Highly enjoyable music.
I can't write reviews so I'm not much help :p

Back in the studio Saturday!
Expect slightly more progressively structured stuff this time.
I will post on here as soon as the new stuff is up.
Until then... any more interesting critical comments on our current three tracks?
Check them out!

holy ****, this is awesome. your bass player is very distinguishable, singing is even more so, the guitar...great melody and perfectly "unruly" like others have said - but still syncopated with the drums in a perfect manner. I'd like to hear how this gets better. if you ever come to the states let me know and i can hook you guys up with at least 2 or 3 shows in virginia
edit: i was listening to "the fight and the f..." but my comments are applicable to pretty much everything.....

Cheers man, and thanks for the gig offer. We haven't even played outside of Wales yet which sucks so it'd be awesome to get some exposure in the US. (We are very good live... provided we don't drink too much beforehand).

Unfortunately we've had to cancel our recent studio session due to a tragic accident. No band members were directly involved themselves, but we have had to delay the recording of new tracks for our ep until we can get another session booked.
In the meantime, if anyone hasn't yet listened to or commented on our current tracks, please feel free to do so. We want as many people as possible to hear our music and really appreciate anyone that uses their time to give us a listen and tell us what they think.

Cheers!
