Hey, I've been delving into indie/alt/ambient/etc. music for about the past 9-10 months or so and am always looking for new bands to check out.
Can you guys recommend some stuff based on my current taste? Thanks.

Based on your last.fm, I would reccomend Bear Vs. Shark, The Mars Volta, and Deftones. I don't know if you're already into those bands, but I didn't see them anywhere on the page. Also check out The Pax Cecilia, just b/c they are awsome.

I highly recommend Dead Letter Circus as you seem to like Karnivool, Cog and TBE
Maybe also Khoma, I've been liking them lately.

Yeah I wanted to check them out, but only songs I could find were two off their myspace a while ago.
The Pax Cecilia
Checked them out and definitely cool/different. 'The Machine' is an awesome song.
Thanks for all your suggestions. Much appreciated.

Try Pelican, The Arcade Fire, Bear VS Shark, Hot Snakes, Boris, British Sea Power, Drive By Truckers, Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Idaho, MC5, Nick Cave, The Birthday Party, Orange Goblin, Slint, The Horrors, The Knife, The Smiths, These Arms Are Snakes.
Sorry if that seems a bit random, I basically went through my Windows Media library and tried to pick out a few artists/bands based on your Last FM. Alot of those bands aren't strictly indie/ambient as such but I think you might like alot of them.
Hope that helped. Oh and welcome to MX :)
