View Full Version : Who was thinking about the mini mahog set?

I can't find the thread, sorry. Here's what I found about Tama.

if Tama does custom orders, I'm sure plenty of other companies will too. However I don't know too many companies that offer mahog shells. Keller makes a "vintage" mahog/poplar shell very similar to the Jasper shells from long ago. Any custom company working with Keller should be able to get your some of the shells.

A lot of people (including myself) set their rack toms up that way.

I switch back and forth rather regularly, I feel it makes me more creative when playing patterns (fills or grooves) on the toms. I usually lead with my right hand, so it is easier for me to play what I want with them in that configuration.

hit the "individual drums"
looks like tama has short-stacks not as "custom" orders but as available sizes! 10x6.5, 12x7, 14x8...

Hmm... Linky no worky and I couldn't find 'em on the Tama site...
Oh well, I'm not really a big fan of Tama anyways. Thanks for the idea though, Chippy!
