You think with all this durability stuff and "we're the best hardware maker" stuff, DW would have something other then wingnuts on their cymbal stands.

If they work why change em

He wouldn't. And I think it looks really cool when used properly.

Gold hardware can only go with:
Dark Natural Woods. Stuff like Walnut etc etc...
You cannot use Gold on white, it has to be brushed, or brass.
Tbh gold hardware goes good with white.

i actually like the gold. i dont think it looks that bad at all. and the pictures a from other albums so it might not look THAT great but it's mostly symbolic :P also someone said something about the dark woods looking good with gold. would a root beer fad or tobacco fade look good with gold? chrome gets old after awhile and im thinking on my next kit to get one of those finishes and gold.

neil's dream drumset when he was younger was the pictures of lily kit.
so this was kind of his way of..."paying homage" to keith moon or something
and i dont see any goats on that kit...
anyway, i think its an awesome set
did they let you play it, or was it boxed in by that soundscreen?
lmldrummer
07-26-2007, 01:33 PM
looks boxed in, since you can see the screen on both sides

Leedy starter kit.....
Cheap mapex boom stand....
Worn down remo heads......
That comment coming from you is ****ing stupid.
Your buying cymbals every ****ing week!

Hey now, I have a house! What do you think I am, a bassist? :P
Yeah, it was screened in. Even if they did let me play it, I'd probably be too afraid I might break something anyway.

Correction... $30,000 kit. But yeah, these have been around for a while. Honestly, I wouldn't want to have it, no matter how amazing it is. If I'm gonna spend that much on a kit, I'd rather have the exact specs. I want.
EDIT: Not to mention it doesn't have the full Paragon series anymore.

i actually quite like the graphics. in case some of you aren't aware, they are from some of their album covers. it was for their 30th anniversary tour. it's simply representing some of their greatest albums/achievements over the years.

they had one of those at the atlanta guitar center for a while. found out recently that it was sold to some guy that came out to some show that guitar center had it set up at.
he was rich, had money to spare, and bought the thing on the spot.
hey had to have two guys from guitar center come over and set it up for him.
having seeing it in person, its quite overwhelming.

No , we had an arguement quite a while ago about wingnuts. This has nothing to do with anti tama bullshit.
First the guy whines on about metal wingnuts not being durable.....while trying to profess that a 1c plastic cast is the ultimate cymbal nut.

..That Etp2 was of course talking about.
And who could forget this outstanding example of ignorance and stupidity, which I, surprisingly enough; didn't get a reply from when I stated it's terrible idiocy....
