"People tell me I look like Han Solo."

Great piece of art. Happy moments mixed with sad ones, great cast (specifically John C. Reilly and Philip Seymour Hoffman), all around great film. The scene near the end with Buck in the bakery with the shootout was amazing.

Any thoughts?

my favorite movie

its entertaining watching dirk spiral into a self-obsessed cokehead and julianne moore is amazing throughout

i spent like three hours dissecting it all one day and coming up with in-depth character analysis and etc.

I felt so sorry for Little Bill. The scene on New Year's Eve, it was one of the most important parts of the movie because it showed the good with the bad.

good with the bad.

they do that virtually throughout the entire movie. major theme and stuff.

its interesting, the contrast between how they view themselves (As shown when dirk first begins acting for Jack) and how everyone else views them and their profession. And they all struggle to overcome it.

I liked it.

I wonder if that was really little Marks giant weiner at the end, made me feel very inadequate.

Great film, I thought it documented well the decline of p0rn films from relatively expensive feature lengths in the 70s to the gonzo of the 80s.

Isn't Boogie Nights the movie where Heather Graham gets naked and shi?

Because I should probably watch it if this is the case.

Yes, there's a sexiful scene with Miss Graham.

I heard the end scene where Dirk pulls it out is an homage to the end scene of Raging Bull.

I wouldn't be surprised...the two scenes are basically the same, shot for shot

I'm trying to get some friends to watch this but they're always reluctant when I mention it or ask them if they want to watch it right now--they think its just some lame movie, apparently because of the "Boogie Nights" title, but I think they title is awesome idk

Wait, he whips it out at the end of Raging Bull?

No, but he practices this monologue in front of a mirror in a boxing robe at the end

like Ray said, it's pretty much shot for shot except Robert DeNiro doesn't whip it out
