I saw them the other day at the Black Cat in D.C. with some friends. They're god awful.

I saw them on June 18 and I thought they were pretty cool. Frustrating in some regards but in general are at least producing interesting music.

I would love to see them live, but I could see that it might be hard to get th same sound that they do recorded. But they're so good.

They have certainly fallen of their plain of greatness, but to say they suck is a massive overstatement.

Going from listening to the Notekillers (who opened for them) to Tortoise, who basically play elevator music with a lot of irritating xylophone, was just too abrasive for me to handle. Looking around and watching all the indie kids and little asian girls gyrate to the sassy elevator beats was just too much to handle. Those ****ers would dance to anything.

A friend of me told me they were excellent live. I've never really liked them, but it's been awhile since I've given them a proper listen.

They are excellent live. At least they were, these days they seem to kinda be going down the wayside anyway.

I really liked the Tortoise and Bonnie Prince Billy stuff they did together.
