This thread was done ages ago and I remember seeing some absolutely amazing houses. Rather than bump the old thread I figured I'd just create a new one.
So; post pictures of your shagadelic pads! Your yard, your drum room, your kitchen, anywhere goes.
I'll be posting pictures as soon as my camera comes back from Fuji-Land.

I dunno, my dad owns 3 businesses and my mum is a director at the Marks & Spencers in Birmingham City Centre.
And my house is only worth £450,000 last time it got surveyed.
Shame they wont buy me a decent drum kit =/
And were about to have an extension done, on top of the garage. Were converting the garage to a music room, soundproofed and everything.
British houses are so much sturdier than the wooden american ones.

How many centuries old wooden houses have you seen? The weather here means anything made of wood doesnt last much more than a few decades.
My house is about 200 years old and, last time it was surveyed, sturdy as ****.

I know what you mean, I grew up in Spain and I saw all of that and ancient Muslim buildings and cathedrals from reign of catholic kinds and queens.
Though seriously, its not like you can blame the US and Canada for not having such stuff. The canyon villages and cities built withing the US Midwest is absolutely amazing and even today is not known exactly how the indians built a 100 foots building inside a canyon without support form the walls.
Different geographic areas, different histories and what not. We don't live in adobes to say the least or mud brick houses which kicks a wooden houses *** either way.

Im not saying north america is a bad continent to live on, just that it doesnt have the feeling of ancient mystery that europe and asia has (for me anyway)
Americas still one of the youngest countries in the west and it shows. If i was only interested in landscape photography then america would be perfect. It has all kinds of terrains. Its just the fact theres no ancient buildings plonked in the middle of it.

Orange County is cool, but I've grown up here. The traffic, cost of living, smog, mass amount of people, etc... it's growing old quick.
I'd like to live somewhere with tree's, open space, seasons, etc...
Where I'm looking at moving. The highways are smaller then our city streets.
Course I do live next to the biggest freeway in the world, the 5. About 15 mins away it gets 20 lanes wide. 20!!!!
And it still comes to a complete dead stop everyday at rush hour.

plenty of open space in MN, the msp suburbs are really wonderful. Plus the weather is the strongest four seasons you'll ever get. And there's plenty of jobs. And a pretty good music community too, 'specially in north Minneapolis. Not to mention Minnesota nice people.

I kinda like where I live. My parents like living out in the country and soon my house is being sold after we have the extension done.
Hopefully, ill be at Uni then because they wanna move further out away from Birmingham City Centre, at least where we are at the minute theres 2 bus sevices and a train station which goes right into the city. And that is still annoying, the buses come every hour, same with the trains. But there is transport.
Further out theres no transport at all.
