OK, we'll try this for now. Please post your items for sale or E-bay auction links here. Please list only items you're selling. No "Dudes, check out this amazing deal on E-bay!" posts. Also, please keep your item listing updated as to its status (sold, reduced price, etc.). Lets keep comments to a minimum. If this gets spammed, up I'll have to close it. I'm going to trim this frequently so that it remains easy to read/follow and stays current.

Please only respond in this thread if you have a question or offer for a particular user/item. Thanks guys. Let's make this a useful resource. :thumb:

FOR SALE:

Sabian 10" AA Mini Hats

Mint condition, barely ever used. Just a few fingerprints! I bought these thinking I would use them a whole lot more than I did, so I'm kind of itching to get rid of them. They've never been used at a gig, and only used practicing about twice. Funky, bright, and surprisingly cutting for their size. They would make incredible x-hats or remote hats, or even hats for recording. These things are a lot of fun to play!

They went for about $170 new, and Sabian doesn't mass produce these anymore. The current price is sitting at around 110 without shipping, so make me an offer! My email is npfribley at csbsju.edu

A few cymbals for sale to australian-mxicans:

20" Paiste Innovations Medium Raw Crash - Medium weight with an extra large bell [brilliant finish]. Probably closer to Crash-Ride than Crash due to bell and profile. Used only as a ride with brushes at church. Only played one gig outside of brushwork. $250AU.

18" Stagg SH Medium Crash - slightly under medium weight with low profile bell [brilliant finish that's been worn in]. Nice quick response, low toned and a bit trashy. Great for that 3rd Crash out back. Never gigged, only seen approximatley 3 months playing over my 2 years owning it - not my taste in cymbal but a nice one nonetheless. $100AU.

16" Sabian HHX Power Crash may be up for sale. Let me know if you're interested.
Drop me an SMS or call at 0423 294 533 or email aywkubt_tod@hotmail.com if you're interested. Might post to NZ.

Hey guys, love the idea for the thread!

I have
14" B8 Hihat Top (£15)
14" Pro Sonix Hihat Bottom (£15-17)
16" B8 Thin Crash (£20)
10" Rockbag by Warwick (£15)(probably more for a tom, not so much a snare)
Red LP Jamblock (£15)

All the drum related stuff is in brilliant condition :) Prices are negotiable, shipping is extra, and I would only really be interested in UK buyers

I also have a Kookabura (sp?) Bubble Cricket Bat, with a clear stick-on protector sheet (The bat has blue grip and Blue 'decals') I used this for a good few practise sessions, and 1 game. It's probably only hit about 30 balls! Came pre knocked-in, and is in very very good condition. I'm looking for £40.

Also, some Cricket Whites, They fitted me when I was 14 and still do, contact me for information on the actual size of them! These have been worn about twice.

Contact me on funk_is_colourblind@hotmail.com and remind me about this, cause i'll forget!

Thanks :)

Mr.Pink-
What do you think about $2000 including shipping for the TD-12? I live in a suburb just outside of St.Paul, so shipping costs shouldn''t be inordinately expensive. It would really help me out because I've been looking to get an e-kit for college next year. So what do you say, give me the old MX smokin' deal?

Hey everyone, this is a 3 year-old Export. The description is on the page. This is a good set although unfortunately people jump on bandwagons and automatically assume they are horrible. These kits were overpriced, but I thought that my price was pretty decent. Here's the link:

2) Will you pay shipping and insurance?// yes
3) Are you actually selling this snare?// yes
4) A picture of the inside of the snare, if you please. //ok.

this is my first experimentation with wood hoops. The Hoops are ordered from DW, and I asked them and did as they told me to do... LOTS of sanding before Any type of finish. It's not a powdercoat, It's A basic Black with Loads of Clearcoat. I was hoping The clearcoat would prevent large amonts of damage to the finish with everyday play.

But as most people who play wood hoops know, they do give, and I'm afraid that it will chip with everyday play, as dents and dings are put into the rims.

Oh, I forgot to answer a question, There is no logo on this drum. The only wording on it, is the Trick GS007 label on the strainer.

Hey anybody....

To save time, MNdrunner21 might buy this and wants to know what shipping would be. Is there a place in the US that I can bring this into and have them package it and ship it.?? My only concern is the rack itself...big and funny shaped box needed.....any Ideas?? UPS store maybe?

billdrum
06-30-2007, 11:26 AM
Those UPS affiliate stores and the like usually upcharge the crap out of you to send stuff that would cost you much less to send directly through UPS or the post office. The advantage to them is they can pack it for you, but its expensive also. I'd say buy your own box, or find one at the grocery store that might work, then take it directly to the UPS or Fedex facility to ship.

Ok, I'm kind of confused on what to do about this. If a kit and cymbals and hardware are all bought new for $1,745, is selling it used for $1,000 a good deal, or should I push it up to $1,100?

In under a year I'll be selling my kit:

Mapex Orion in Emerald Star Dust, 3 toms, rock sizes.

BP Tribal LE snare.

Peavey aux snare. 1" deeper than the BP, I just use it for a really high tom sound.

Sabian AAX stage performance pack.

DW4000/Mapex stock pedal, whichever floats your personal boat.

Mapex throne.

Any offers? I'm in the UK, US would probably be a murder for shipping.

It's a kickass stand. Yamaha makes some wicked hardware. The legs have a wicked profile. It's the sturdiest of all the stands I have (I have a high end Gibraltar and just snagged a brand new Pearl stand). I just don't need three stands, and I never ever use that snare drum. It's a waste to see it collecting dust.

I have two of these on Ebay. They are hecka nice and brand new.

There is a bit over two hours left and I really need some extra cash to help pay bills around here and pay for gas that is going towards Warped Tour.
If someone is interested in buying both of them, I'll hook you up with a deal on shipping. These things are absolutely fantastic but I can't use them, the L rod itself isn't the diameter I need for my old RIMS mounts.

Edit:
The L rod is 4.5 inches tall, and what looks to be around 10mm across (where the metal "grips" are). I don't have a precise tape measure, so my measurements are sort of rounded, if you know what I mean. If by post you mean the metal tubing under the L-Rob Ball/socket, it is 3/4ths inches wide and about 6 inches tall.
I hope these measurements helped you, and I'm very sorry I can't be more precise!

Its a Curved front, 2 curved side extensions with legs. theres 11 cymbal boom arms. Clamps for 7 of them, and the mounts on each other legs for the last 4. 1 of them has a cymbal stacker attachment on it.

Theres 2 more clamps for tom drums.

Selling a 12" x 5 3/4" Padauk Stave Snare

Age is about minus 4 weeks (still in production ;) )

Has 24 staves, Chrome Tube Legs, Triple Flanged hoops, Traditional Strainer, Evans Heads, 45 degree bearing edges, can possibly cut custom snare beds as shell is raw and un lathed so far.

Your Choice of thickness within reason (about 22mm Max.)

Looking for around £400, price subject to change possibly, but, it will be a stunningly good snare. MAking this one to sell, and keeping one for myself unless someone wants that! The other will be 6 1/2" deep with same specs as 5 3/4" shell

Should be very loud, hip hoppy, poppy, loud, bright and stunningly good on the ears and eyes ;)

Reply in here for more details :)

Just search online for the price of a new pair of them and discount yours compared to how much wear and tear they have(if they are perfect then not that much). Also put yourself in the buyers shoes. What would be the difference in price he would want to pay for near perfect rather than brand new.

As a snare, with everything, you'd be looking at anything up to £450, it's a lot, but the amount of labour involved is very high, we're keeping a diary of how much time we spend on these though, so when they are done, we can give better deas of prices, possibly £400 though.

Test drive would be fine if you have the appropriate insurance and proof.

Insurance group 20. (I think)

Interested at all?

It has a new clutch, 4 New tyres, turbo timer which is always used and it goes like something off of a shovel.

Parradiddle Pete

Yeah.

But, the impreza's cornering ability in the dry and wet is stunning. You can just throw it into a roundabout and keep your foot down to the floor with no trouble at all.

The impreza also does the overtaking-in-short-spaces thing extremly well, but, in top gear, doesn't shift like the skyline.

They are totally different beasts, but both extraordinary cars.

We also found out that, there isn't really a better car for the money to fit what we want. I mean, the Evo has a bone shatteringly hard ride, and apparently isn't so reliable as anything else, and there really is nothing else which can fit a family of 5 in, with a big boot and good acceleration.

not near that lol, it cost me 20$ CAN to ship it from USA my guess is about 50-70$ CAN which is........30 GBP ish 70 GBP phil???? are you insane lol?

We get some rediculous taxes. It'd be a tenner to send it across the country, so it'd be way more to ship it via airmail.

Costs me a tenner to get a t-shirt by airmail.

haha well instead of selling it on ebay I'm just gonna sell it to the local store
or trade it + cash for a snare

N'kay Aussies/NZers. Selling Crashes:

20" Paiste Dimensions Medium Raw Crash - $300
16" Sabian HHX Power Crash - $250 [Vertigo has firsts, if no reply it's up for sale]

Both are about 12 months old and haven't been used due to my living in apartment.
Scaling down gear due to storage, lack of justification for ownership.

Okay, this is an old auction For an amazing Yamaha Snare Stand that I put up and no one even bought, but it's still there for description purposes.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AME%20%20SE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300130494830&rd=1&rd=1

I'm willing to negotiate a price, then I'll put it on Ebay as a buy it now and you can snatch it immediately.

Shipping would be about 12 dollars.

Anyone?

08-18-2007, 11:13 PM
does it really need to be double braced to hold a snare?

Panopticon
08-19-2007, 12:48 AM
yes...i have a mapex 350 series single braced snare stand and it twists far easier than it should...it also moves every time i hit my snare. I need a stand with weight to it so it will stay put.

fastlane
08-19-2007, 02:12 AM
i would always go with double braced hardware just for the extra durability. better safe than sorry. plus you get what you pay for

Fuzzy
08-19-2007, 07:51 PM
I always buy double braced but this Yamaha is a different story. It's one of the sturdiest stands I've ever used, plus it goes super high for aux snare placement or for like concert snares (where you stand and play them.)

Also the base of the stand is much larger than most stands. It's sturdier than most stands I've ever used.

Yea he is right, That Yamaha line is built pretty much strictly for Gigging, they are lightweight and sturdy, I'd buy it if I wasn't already buying some other stuff with my money.

20" no name ride cymbal...nice stick definition, trashy yet defined, or also a big trashy crash. No cracks, keyholing, or damage of any kind. - $20

18" Pearl Pro Crash/Ride...drilled for two rivets, works well as a true crash/ride, both decent ride sound and crash sound. No cracks, keyholing, or damage of any kind. - $15

14" no name hi-hat top...thin hihat top. Works surprisingly well as a hihat top, or even bottom. Also works as a trashy little crash. No cracks, keyholing, or damage of any kind. - $12

Pacific 402 Single Bass Pedal...Good condition, oiled up it runs surprisingly smooth...replaced the spring with a stock DW 4000 spring and new DW Beater. - $20

Pro-Mark Hot Rods...lightly used only a handful of times, no chipped ends, like new condition, plenty of life left in them. - $8

1pr. Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Sticks (Wood Tip)...lightly used only a handful of time, great condition, plenty of life left in them. - $4

Gibraltar Tom Arm...L-rod, holds steady, does what it's made for, no problems or flaws. - $10

I have been quoted as much as $70, though I know someone on Cymbalholic who posted to Manchester from America for $52, or round about that. I'll check. Yes, $52.

I will say that having checked out some other EAK prices, I could do $350, but I think $400 is a bit expensive, though if someone else is willing to pay that, fair game.

Well, I am interested, still. I can definitely appreciate your sentiment though, wanting it to go to a player, rather than a collector. As far as that goes, I've been playing for 5 years, I just spent a year at Drumtech in London, improving my standard of playing so I could get onto the Degree at Drumtech, which I did, and shall be starting in a couple of weeks. I have my first induction day tomorrow, as a matter of fact. I shall be doing this degree in popular music performance for the next 3 years, with an eye to making a living from my passion.

That, and I'm quite interested in the cymbal :p.

Sorry about the late reply, I just moved to temporary accommodation before I can move into my next place.
