So I was looking at a local drum shops website, and see that they have a used mapex mars there for 500 US. I am thinking of going to look at it, but the store is a decent distence away. So I was wondering if the trip would be worth it?

Were they the equivalent of M Series, I cant remember but thats what I thought. I've got a friend whos dad plays and has a set of them, some of the worst sounding drums I've played on.

Yeah they are equivalent to the M Series so they are worth it.

Not if he can get M series for that price now. M series are nicer by a long way.
