So I was looking through some old pics various friends have sent me. I thought I might make a sort of evolution of my drum kits starting with my first to my current. I'll make it in normal "specs pls" format however.

Kit #1 (1990-1995)
Sorry, no pics around. This was my first, and prolly my favorite kit.
1962 Slingerland kit.
18'' kick
13'' tom
16'' floor tom
14x5'' snare

20'' zildjian A. ride
18'' zildjian A. crash
14'' zildjian hats
Sorry I don't know cymbal weights, these had no logos. Just stamps, they were all made in the 60's.

This kit was stolen from a church I played at for a few years. It is missed daily.

Kit #2 (1994-2000ish)
Pearl Export in "Deep Ocean" wrap.

That's about it to date. I went from playing Jazz, to metal, to more of alternative rock. I just thought it was an interesting progression that I've never taken the time to think about until today. Hope I didn't bore anyone too much, thanks for reading.

I love that DW!!

That sucks that the vintage Slingerlands were stolen. How old were you at the time?

17-18, can't recall..
It was my senior year at high school.

BTW feel free to LOL at my tom angle on that pearl kit, that was after having the old slingerland and I just tried to make it feel the same, very hard to do with "power" toms.

Man, great stuff!

What have you done with all the cymbals from the past you currently don't use anymore?

did you steal the kit, or did you leave it at church and someone stole it from you?

I've sold most of the cymbals as I've switched to Paiste now.

Good times!
