Bass drum head

Im buying a bass drum head and was going to go with the EMAD but ive just heard about the EMAD2.


I have a small pillow in my bass drum so if i were to buy the emad 2 would that be to much muffleing or should i stick with the EMAD.

Hmm, I'd have thought you wouldn't need much in the bass if you have an EMAD.

I'd personally go with EMAD rather than EMAD2. It's better to have a 1 ply head and be able to add or take away internal muffling as you please rather than have a 2 ply head and be stuck with just that....

i like the sound im getting with the pillow at the min and ive got a 1 ply head at the min.

thats why i think i sholud stick with one ply and get the emad

Like I said, theres more options open to you with a 1 ply head...
