Agreed. I love this band to death but they weren't great by any means.


End of Time is my current favorite song by them, followed by the live version of A Twisted Path. If it wasn't for the intensity in the vocals, this band would be nothing imo.

I have enough money to live on my own if I wanted to but while I'm going to school getting a real degree and working it makes my life a lot easier. And if I wanted the canine/woman half-breeds you apparently party with to slobber on my **** I could do that too.

We took our name from Rushmore, we're all big fans of Wes Anderson. The screamo band indeed predates us, but they took their name from a bizarre fighting ritual, not from the film. We know the lead singer of that band, Alex, and he endorses our band.

Dude, I've been wishing for a xvpopdmx reunion forever. But I don't think it'll ever happen. I talked to their guitarist Brando on AIM and he said it was HIGHLY unlikely. He said they all have their separate lives and whatnot. And I'm pretty sure he said that towards the end they weren't getting along very well. Sucks... :(

Funny 'cause Rick is the lead singer. Alex does backing vocals and plays guitar. He played all the instruments for the full length recordings.

I don't know it's just it is good, but like at the end of The Art of Conversation he just yells "You can't mend my broken heart" which if it was something else would be great because the delivery is great but the phrase itself always makes me chuckle.

I don't dislike them or anything, because I really do like KFS quite a bit, it's just they are good but also cheesy.

While the lyrics are very cheesey, they were, for the most part, improvised, which kind of explains why they were as bad as they are, but I also respect Rick for just screaming whatever came to mind, no matter how silly it may sound. :p


Also, while We Dance At Night and Art of Conversation are really good, I still think the original A Twisted Path and the live version are the best songs they ever did.
