Hey everyone.. Its me! Back from the dead! Anyway.. I have a derbakki and It has this buzzing sound every time i hit the Doum. Does anyone know what this is and how to resolve it.
And before anyone asks.. yes I am authentic Arab straight from lebanon lol

I play, I can't say I've experienced any of the buzzing you're speaking of. Tried re-tuning/changing the head?

Maybe a screw/lug is loose. I've never heard of buzzing before but since its a pretty simple instrument that could be it. Just make sure everything is in check. When taking off the head I would suggest loosening everything in the star pattern first since the head is tuned really tight, then taking it off and changing the head.

^Yeah.
One time my bass drum was rattling, and It just happened to be one of the screws that held the lugs was undone abit.
Does your Derbekki need an alan rench to tighten/loosen the head?

Ahh mine too.
I always wanted to change the head on mine, or was always concerned on what would happen if the head broke :(.
I don't want to buy a new drum altogether...
What Brand/Where'd you get yours?

My Mum bought me one as a gift from the Red Sea when she holidayed there. It's an awesome little thing, got a couple of spare heads with it too.
Not that I've come near to breaking one yet!
