I take it you want a press kit for your band. So...

A press kit is a package that you send to the media(labels mostly), to get you recognized possibly signed. Press kits usually include a biography, individual biographys, past and future press coverage, photos of your band and each individual member. Past and Future touring schedules. Also you might want to put a list of equipment you use exclusively. Dont forget to put contact numbers/email adresses. Most importantly send your music, dvds, and any things of interest. This is pretty much a summary of the things most bands put in their kits. Hope it helps.

Press kits can take many forms. I have seen custom folders with cover shots, cd's and written content inside them and I have seen press kits that were all on dvd or a cd.

I helped a band create an electronic press kit that was all on a DVD. The DVD included:

Band Bio
Band Music
Band Videos: This is great when venues want to see you live without going to see you live. Great for Live Gigs and bookings :)
Band Reviews
Band Contact info
We had a short 1min teaser video on the DVD that would describe the band's music with video and photos giving whoever was watching it a quick summary of the band. This is huge as most people don't have the time to read or watch something for hours. The rest of the content was accessible via the DVD's Menu screen.

Along with the DVD was a business card with all necessary contact info and a WEBSITE where all the same material could be seen (very important should they lose the DVD). The DVD worked for the band because if they ever needed to add something to their press kit or portfolio they could do so and then burn a new DVD at home. It was a lot easier than having a printing house reprint anytime something notable needed to be added. Hope this helps.

Good luck!
