I love their new song "white pople for peace', however it's the only one i've ever heard of them & i wanna hear more, what album would be a good starting point?
"reinventing axl rose" is their best album, the later ones are not so good.

Though if you like the new song then chances are you'll like all their albums. Start anywhere, but RAR is their best.

AM! released a few EPs before releasing any albums. I'd download "The Acoutic EP" and "Crime as for given by Against Me!"
They they released "Reinventing Axel Rose". After that they signed to Fat Wreck and kind of went down hill.
Listen to the early stuff (its the best).

I recommend As The Eternal Cowboy or EP's. Best EP is a split between Crimes/Acoustic but most of Reinventing Axl Rose is songs from EP's.
Get ATEC.

The new song is better than Don't Lose Touche was as a singel, but it can't at all compare with the old stuff.
Get ATEC or RAR.
Get everything besides SFAFC

Get every single release except for Searching for a Former Clarity.
Actually, if you like the new stuff, you might like SFAFC. You've heard Against Me!'s worst and liked it, so you're at an advantage to most.

I really like the new stuff as well from the White People for Peace 7".
Either way RAR and As the Eternal Cowboy are the best for me.

As the Eternal Cowboy is a great album and I'm fairly certain "Sink Florida Sink" is my favorite song ever.
Also, Searching for a Former Clarity is a much better album than most "punx" make it out to be, so don't pass it up.

I agree, ...Clarity is by no means a bad album, there's some really good songs on there.
I think Reinventing is their best, and i also have a lot of love for the Disco Before the Breakdown EP. It has my favourite AM! song in Beginning in an Ending.

they are all good. but if you like 'white people for peace' you will like ...as the eternal cowboy and searching for a former clarity best.
the EPs are all entirely acoustic and screaming, not that they are bad. but they don't sound like your kind of thing.

Crime isn't acoustic. And the Acoustic EP is actually quite mellow, if you compare the songs on it to the versions on RAR. Vivida Vis isn't even really screamy, just really really raspy.

You're crazy. I don't know how people could enjoy acoustic Reinventing Axl Rose more than the electric version. It is a fist pumping tune, and the acoustic version doesn't get my fist pumping...more like my toe tapping.

Jordans First Choice acoustic > RAR version
Those Anarcho Punx Are Mysterious acoustic<<<<< RAR version
Reinventing Axl Rose acoustic <<< RAR version
Pints Of Guinness Make you Strong acoustic = RAR version.
:smash: You gotta get both relases!
I've come to the conclusion, by listening to this band again for the first time in a while, that most of you people have no ears because "As the Eternal Cowboy" has nothing on "Reinventing Axl Rose". Nothing. The best song on AtEC has nothing on the worst song on RAR.

No really ATEC is better.

Seriously, everything they put out before SFAFC is awesome; all of it is essential so there's no use in arguing about which to get.

Because the demos and Vivada Vis suck.

Well, I've never heard the demos (except for one song, namely, I Am Citizen, which is damn awesome) but sometimes I do enjoy Vivida Vis. Come on, **** Stroll? Sometimes his voice is kind of annoying, I agree, but I wouldn't say it sucks.

Yeah, I totally exaggerated, "You Look Like I Need a Drink" is a fine song indeed. No really ATEC is better.
No really, you have no ears, you must have a hard time using a q-tip.

This marks the hundredth time you've said "you have no ears" on this site in regards to ATEC vs RAR you have no creativity.

No seriously I hate Vivada Vis.
That's just because you dislike the acoustic guitar and Tom's screaming. I think that's ****ing awesome. There's not a single release prior to SFAFC that I dislike at all.
And yeah, I acknowledge that some of the acoustic versions of things are just as good or better than the electric versions. Reinventing Axl Rose, however, is far superior when it's electric. Just sayin'.

SFAFC wasn't as bad as everyone made out, but listen to that one last so you can understand where they're coming from on most of the songs. About 3/4 of the album is dealing with the decisions (such as going major label) they made as a band, if you can listen to that (and I could and loved it very much) then you should be alright. RAR is essential, and Crime isn't half bad either. ATEC is hit and miss, when it hits, it ****ing hits, when it misses, eh. The Acoustic EP has worn on me recently. At first I was like "why the hell are there Acoustic EP purists?" and then I heard We Did It All For 'Don. Listen to the Acoustic EP after RAR and ATEC, though, so you can be all "so that's where it started."
My personal favorite band ever. They have a live album out as well, it's pretty good- excellent version of Sh it Stroll is on there.
