ive got a spiffy new DAW controller, digital and all, firewire connectivity, suprisingly clean pres and digital I/O, MOTORIZED FADERS the whole low/mid-range shabang(sp?) but ive got some routing issues that have kept me from getting the most out of the little bugger.
in case you were wondering, its the fw-1082 by tascam, and i wanted to know how i would go about routing it through my computer/speakers to have sound actually coming out...because I can get sound in it and record great sound but cant get any monitoring out of it (using the monitor outs) that isnt the dry signal going in...I havent tried it in a while cuz i kinda gave up on that idea but now its bugging me cuz i wanna crack this one once and for all...
anyone have it? how do you route the signal path?
btw I dont got anything special besides the fw1082, just a dell pc (used it on my p.o.s. G4, same/similar results) and the stock soundcard, which I run my pc speakers out right now. (3 ghz, 512mb ram, etc.)
