Ok, I purchased a Roland JX-8P keyboard in January from ebay. When I received it, one key just completely didn't work anymore, and one only worked sometimes.
Now, in June, that one still doesn't work, but now I have 3 DIFFERENT keys that only work on occasion. That isn't very convenient in the middle of recording.
Do you suppose this kind of thing can just resolve itself? That one key did........
I have to say I feel a bit cheated, because there was no mention of this in the description. Oh well you take your chances.
But.....is it worth taking it in or just leave it alone? More importantly, is it worth taking in for that one key in particular that never worked from the beginning?
merci

I'd take it in, but I'm crazy about that kind of stuff. Nothing drives me bonkers quite like an instrument behaving poorly (especially since I have two guitars right now that both need to be taken in) so, unless its going to total it (cost more than you bought it for) I would at least get it priced and fix all of them. Or if your feeling brave, usually that kind of stuff is just a loose connection, so you could always bust out a soldering iron and go to work.

Thanks

Clean the contacts. Dealing with vintage electronics, this sort of thing is kind of bound to happen. You have a pretty sweet synth in the Roland, though.
