Just name the mistakes you've made in your hardcore listening ventures.
I'll go first. I used to like with honor. I still sport a terror hoody sometimes and shamefully I kinda like um still.

I think when most people were first getting into the genre they discovered the shitty bands first.

s'hitty pop punk bands and stuff, then i just got my teeth further into emo and hardcore and further down the genre family trees etc.

Not only did I love Casey Jones, I managed to get like, 5 or 6 of my friends absolutely obsessed with them, two of whom ended up claiming edge because of this.

Listening to certain bands is a mistake?

santi3hg
06-16-2007, 08:21 PM
Well...I was forced to go to a Justin Timberlake concert earlier this year because of my g/f at the time best friends wanted me to go.

That was a mistake. And its music oriented. So, I mean yeah...I guess?

Wow
06-16-2007, 08:35 PM
Well once I listened to Devola.

I guess that counts...

06-16-2007, 08:46 PM

I make no mistakes, I am error free.

But slightly embarrassing bands I used to listen to:
The Agony Scene
HImsa
Avenged Sevenfold
all those bands still have a couple sweet (in my opinion) jams though so this doesn't really matter.

I want to see pictures if you're for real. Earth crisis blows. They sound nu-metal. I hate that killing brain cells song.
As for embarrassing tattoos that is a whole other thread. I have an upside cross that says parma pride in dogtown letters. I still have no regrets about it.

I only ever listened to good hardcore.

I avoided all these shitty modern bands, because I went from Black Flag, to other great 80s bands like The Dicks, DRI and Big Boys. I tried a few modern bands, but a couple of songs by bands like Blacklisted, Sinking Ships and Guns Up put me off for life. ****ed Up was the only one I really got into.

Ben, don't act like you dont know anyone with a massive confederate flag on their arm.

I have an outline of the PA keystone on my right inner wrist. My mom and sister have it too, its just that my mom is really into tattoos and my sister has a few, and since i wanted to get one we all decided it would be cool to all have something as a family. Pretty cheesy.

I don't plan on getting married anytime soon, my step-brother is only 9 months older than me, he's just dumb and knocked the girl up.

Thats why my *** will bleed if I ever go to prison. I'll admit it is a girly place to get it. But I think it looks tight and I'm comfortable enough to not really care about someone giving me a hard time about it.

And yeah it hurt whenever they did it on the bone.
