Righto, I bought this bass last week. On the bridge, you know the screws that go through the springs. Well I put the bass in my gig bag, and went to take it out, and it got stuck. "Hmm" I pondered, so being a tit I just decided to give it a yank.

The screw on the C string part of the bridge was half way out.

Right, not a problem I thought. I'll just screw it back in, it'll need setting up again sure, but I'll worry about that some other time.

Push the screw driver towards the screw and with a little force it just slips back in, pushing the C string up a bit higher. I can't remember if it was meant to be like that. Anyway, I've tried pulling it out again and it seems wedged in tight.

Have I broken something? Like, the bridge, screw rounded off or anything? Does this bode ill for me?

If the screw is able to just be pushed in, it is safe to assume it is stripped. Considering the screw helps set the intonation for that string, I'd get it fixed.

perhaps you just need to lower the action again ...

unless when you say the C String is a little bit higher, you don't mean a little bit higher from the bridge

Higher from the neck. The screw is a bit wobbly in the bridge, none of the others are.

well if it's wobbly, it sounds like just 1 side of the bridge saddle has be raised. try taking to the higher one with an allen key, it should fix your problem

It's not the bridge saddle, it's the actual screw in the fitting that's wobbling.
