I got my bass to work through a 15W practice guitar amp by jacking it into the aux
Dunno if that's any help.

But, I wouldn't like to try it tbh. You're best off getting a cheap cab and hooking it up to the keyboard, set it up so you're getting the lower tones through the bass amp. The low B may take some life off of your keyboard amp.

I'm not an expert, but that's what I would imagine would happen.

Yes, you would. Keyboard amps typically handle a much wider range of frequencies than a standard four string bass. A six string shouldn't be a problem, either.

cool a guy that works at my local store (rediculously good synth programmer) recommended a behringer 300 watt but he didnt tell me the proce and i just saw it after i had made this thread :p right now i only have a 40 watt keyboard amp but with my guitar which im sellin for 400 and my keyboard amp (if i decide to sell) will go for 200 i hope im all set :p

you dont think a lower wattage would matter would it?

Not a good idea.

Nah.

1) You can't just run a cab. You need something to amplify the signal.

2) A bass amp will basically suck the highs of any keyboard unless it has a tweeter, and if its not a good tweeter, it will sound like garbage.

3) It is very possible that he could even get a better response from the B string by using a keyboard amp, opposed to a bass amp.

Nothing wrong with Behringer. Unless it's studio work you're doing. My 450W Behringer combo is looooovely.

longevity is what's wrong with behringer. nobody here believes that for some reason.

I believe that. My behringer was great for like the first two years and then it just shat itself. Luckily I had upgraded not long before.

I had a Behringer combo for two years and then bought a used Behringer head that was five years old. I had that for another year with no issues, not even the ohh so popular fuse problem that many here seems to have a problem with.

The only problem I had with mine was with the plug. (kettle lead thingy)

Whilst putting it into the back of the car it was crushed, because the damn amp is so dang heavy.

That was soon sorted. My drummer friend replaced it for me.
Apart from that, I love the thing.

What about the tone?

Besides the obvious quality issues, Behringer is just such a sleazy company.

Aside from their obvious design rip offs, they make some damn nice stuff for shockingly low prices.

Plus, all the Behringer April fools jokes (fake report of them bringing out a product looking extremely close to some other well known product) are usually amusing.

The prices are low because they just copy other companies, and people flock to them because they want the name-brand product cheap. They therefore sell a ton of units and can keep prices down. It's just dirty business.

I guess, but a lot of their products (especially in the midi and rackmount areas, where everything looks the same anyway) aren't really such cheap copies and get the job done well.

Their stuff is pretty much worth what you pay for it though, if you buy a Peavey amp or a Behringer for half the price you'll probally save money on the Peavey eventually as in all likelihood the Behringer would need replacing. I wouldn't buy anything like amps or stomp boxes or anything else that really needs to be built well, but for budget studio work or if you need a gadget for a specific job and don't want to spend a ton on a fancy all purpose solution they are ok.

Yeah, but for most teenagers in this country,
