I'm a bit bored and was thinking something along the lines of "This song's verse kinda sucks, but it has the most awesome chorus."
so i made a thread. basically just post your top 5 favorite songs without having the verse in mind and think only of the chorus. It's not really bass related, but it certainly could be.
5. The Expendables - Sacrifice
4. The Greg Kihn Band - The Break Up Song
3. Les Claypool - Rumble of The Diesel
2. Nine Inch Nails - Closer
1. Foreigner - Jukebox Hero
Just thought this is an interesting topic. Discuss :smoke:

We Are The Few, Point/Counterpoint - Streetlight Manifesto(its easier to narrow it down to any song Tom Kalnoky ever wrote)
We Laught At Danger(and break all the rules) - Against Me!
Betterman - Pearl Jam
Don't Forget me - RHCP
although the verses are amazing in those too.
there is alot more i know but those are the first that popped in my head, and those are in no particular order.

Props for Rx Bandits, though I think they have songs with catchier choruses, like Infection, or Overcome. Good band, though... great live.

Right now Im really digging the chorus of Megadeth's Symphony of Destruction, although the rest of the song is rather bland...

Two off the top of my head:
Parliament - P. Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up)
Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove
By the way, does anyone think that synth basslines (such as on 'One Nation Under A Groove' or 'Flashlight') were mixed infinitely better than on 99% of modern recordings? Modern producers need to get out their old George Clinton albums and learn how to mix synth bass so that its felt but doesn't detract from the music as a whole.
