Just out of curiosity, has anyone here played the NS WAV 4 electric upright? I just saw it for the first time. At $900, it is a budget model of the crazy expensive CR series.

I played one at the shop once and it played pretty desently. I never liked the use of a stand though. I need a body rest of some sort to play. I didn't here the amped sound either.
At least it was set up well and the acoustic sound was good. You can tell that it'll sound thiner than a real upright.

They're not too shabby, but judging from your post in Havic's thread about doubling on upright and electric, this thing doesn't really come close to a real upright in sound or feel.

I should have been more clear. I am not actually looking to buy this, I was just curious how it plays because I had never heard of it before.

If I were to learn upright, I would get a real one.

a local shop here has one. i'm too afraid to play it though. don't know what i'd do with it...:(
