so, i just thought I'd post pics of my kit from our last gig.. I took soem shots of the pic with the cymbals i was playing, since I'm still waiting for my a customs to come in. the only cymbals in this setup that are staying are the 16" chin alow brilliant zildjian china, the cut-off splash (experiment, stagg splash, and i LOVE the trashiness to it), and the ufip 14" crash (sounds like a splash, great sound). cymbals coming in not longer than a month from now: all zildjian: a custom 16 and 18 crashes, a custom 20 ride, a custom 14 hats, K-custom 18" fast crash (my last one cracked in the middle of the cymbal. gettig a new one for free on warranty), and probably soem vintage 14" new beats, I showed before and taht are going to be mine... in excgange for the 20 paiste 400 power ride xD (what a steal). also I'ma buy a new stand for the rack, and 2 new clamps soo, so I'm hanging the ride on my left, and the toms in front.

so here it goes.. some are somewhat blurry, and some are taken with my phone. anyway, enjoy and leave a comment =).

we performed at a poetry-festival. playing covers, own material, and because of it being a poetry festival, we wrote a song and used the poem a psalm of life by henry wadsworth longfellow as our lyrics.. we were the only band, and other people used the tent for their performances. the poem in the way we played and arranged it:

A Psalm Of Life
[Intro]

[Verse 1]
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

[Chorus 1]
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

[Verse 2]
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!

[Chorus 2]
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
[Verse 3]
Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,--act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o'erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;--

[Chorus 3]
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labour and to wait.

[Guitar Solo]
[Breakdown 1]

[Chorus 4 (in between the both breakdowns)]

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

[Breakdown 2]
[End]

You know, I've played gigs where the whole venue is actually smaller than that stage area :lol:

Nice stuff though man, looks cool :)

Peavey JSX (-edit- no, it's some other amp -edit2- Ah, an XXX) and Peavey 5150? (Guitar amps)

That's pretty neat :)

Too bad it's a Tama drumkit ;)

If it's a JSX it's an old model.

That is the Joe Satriani model, right?

I think thats an XXX, not JSX. But yes, the JSX is Satriani's signature amp.

jup peavey Triple X, and actually a peavey 6505. it's the new 5150, but you knew that i guess :). only thing that isn't so cool is that the white '5150' on the front is missing , but meh :P.

edit: the amps on the last two (red-ish) pics are old. our stacks are the ones on the pic next to the kit. XXX and 6505
