Right i have £300, and i want a snare that sounds like Brian Flenniken's from Mad Caddies, i was thinking maybe 13 x 7, 20 ply. The reason i want it to be 13 and not 14" is because i have played a 13" for ages, and just prefere smaller snares! You guys got any ideas?

Grab your coat, wallet, a notepad and your favorite pair of sticks
Get in the car, or catch a bus
Go to your music store.
Take your jacket off
Hit each snare with your favorite sticks in mutliple ways.
Then get the store employee to do the same
Tune it to your licking
Hit each snare with your favorite sticks in mutliple ways.
Then get the store employee to do the same
Write down if you like it or not in your notepad
Choose your favorite.
whip your wallet out, and pay
Put your coat on, bid farewell, and go home.
