I went last night. Unfortunatly Necrophagist was having immigration problems so they coulnd't show up, but they are going to be doing a "special" show in july to make up for it. Decapitated was completely amazing. Arsis, The Faceless, Daath, and Cattle Decapitation were also all great. The rest of the bands pretty much sucked, horribly. But the others made up for it.

We're gonna try to get tix for July 8th (last day of tour!). I gotta say, paying 2 bucks per band is pretty feckin' sweet.

I work with the drummer from Decapitated.

^that's awesome.
Tonight, man tonight was INSANE.
We co-headlined the second stage with none other than...DAATH!
(thought y'all might like that :p)
First two bands sucked.
Arsis DESTROYED
The Faceless were disappointing (though they did come check us out, which was awesome)
didn't see As Blood Runs Black, Cephalic Carnage or Cattle Decap. because I was setting up/playing our set.
Decapitated was amazing.
Necrophagist was mind-blowing. Even with just one guitar.
As for our show, we took much of Cephalic Carnage's crowd and packed the second stage (I'd say a good 200 people were there). I think we did alright, As Blood Runs Black were at the side of the stage cheering us on (toured with them last year) as were members of the Faceless...got an awesome crowd response and played a decent set...I'm pretty happy with how we played and proud to have performed with bands like Arsis, Decapitated, Necrophagist, the Faceless, and of course Daath.
Damn what a crazy night.

Hopefully you skipped us :p

By the way I talked to Darren Cesca of Arsis (drums) after they played and he told me they're going to start tracking their new album (produced by Zeuss of Shadows Fall fame) starting September. So Hell ****ing yes.

If I paypal'd you $75 would you personally kill the members of Daath for me? Or just let them know that I want them to meet their daaths.

A couple of them were cool guys. Their drummer (Kevin Talley) is a bit of a douche though, even though he supposedly likes us.

Nevermind I just read this whole thread and you're only playing one show. Ignore me.

We're not now. We had to cancel the next week of our tour due to our van being gay and overheating. Which sucks. But we're going to use that week to write new material. So I guess that makes up for it in some way. I'm sure we'll be on tour again later this year. Maybe with As Blood Runs Black. If they know what's good for 'em.

You know you're right.
Goddamn it.
I wish Necrophagist would have actually put on a show, instead of standing there stiff the whole time, but they made up for it for being friggin' amazing.
I'm surprised so many people showed up for Necrophagist. Seemed like the typical "core" crowd.
Make sure you come up to DC/MD/VA area one of these days.

Congrats on playing again. Try to come to the New York/Long Island/North Jersey area one day.
The Crazy Donkey on Long Island plays metal bands as big as Necrophagist and Opeth to really small local bands. I think all you need to do is contact them and send a demo and they will put you on a bill with other bands.

Because of Job For A Cowboy, Tech Death has gone the way of Melodic Death and Thrash and is now considered Metalcore by idiot core kids.

Why do you say that? What band are you in? I didn't show up until Arsis started.
I wish Necrophagist would have actually put on a show, instead of standing there stiff the whole time, but they made up for it for being friggin' amazing.

I thought Necrophagist put on an amazing show. I'd say that it's pretty tough to jump around and swing your guitar around when playing stuff that difficult. It would be very difficult for him to really "put on a show." He was flawless, though, when it came to the music. What was really funny was that As Blood Runs Black were just standing there in awe watching the drummer from Necrophagist. He did probably the best drum solo I've ever seen, topping one by Flo Mounier.
There were a lot of "core" kids there and they are the most annoying fans in the world. When As Blood Runs Black came on, all the douchebag fans started flailing around, shoving people, and sticking their nasty, stinkin armpits in people faces to throw the horns up the whole time. Now, I don't mind a lot of energy at a show, but have some consideration for other people. As Blood Runs Black seemed like cool guys, though.
On a side note, Cattle Decapitation put on a great show even if I don't really like the band. I think my least favorite band was the band with the mexican frontman/vocalist. They were just boring and he was a lame frontman. Another thing that was funny during the show was that I was really thirsty and wanted some water and a guy accidentally kicked a water bottle off the stage right to me, haha. I was in the front row, BTW. I got a nice recording of Muhammed playing the Fermented Offal Discharge solo on my phone.
Wow, long rant.

By the way, Necrophagist's new drummer is totally Mike Minneman from Racer X. That solo was fricken' amazing. Damn.

They have Diamond for Disease and a bunch of rehashed ideas, shitty vocals, uninteresting leads and a [former] drummer who tried way too hard to prove he was okay at his instrument.

Oh The Humanity is really good. I could do without everything else that isn't on Diamond.
People here used to orgasm over Arsis.

Yeah, then they released a terrible album.
A Diamond For Disease (the song) and A Celebration Of Guilt are the only songs I like. The rest suck.

Hey now. United in Regret isn't terrible, just not great. Good the first 4 songs, then "meh" after that, in my opinion.

I think Arsis are pretty awesome. I tabbed the whole of Oh, The Humanity so it really, really grew on me. Same with The Cold Resistance and Lust...
I haven't actually given the rest of the album a proper listen but I'd love to see some decent video footage from this tour. It's an amazing opportunity to get some since there's some awesome bands playing but I doubt it'll happen. :(:(:(:(

The first stop of this tour was close to where I live, but I had my friggin SAT's the morning after :(:(
I heard it was kinda lametarded from one of my friends that went because Necrophagist had only one guitarist, and Cattle Decapitation canceled. He was also upset because ABRB canceled, but I don't like that band at all anyway.
I'm kind of upset that I didn't get to see decapitated and arsis though. Another time, I guess...
