So I was wondering if anybody could send me a song they have recorded in cubase format unproduced and unmixed so I could mess around and see what I can do? I only have cubase so that would be ideal and also if it could be metal and have all the main instruments ie guitar, bass, drums vocals and midi also if it was not too much trouble. So yeah if anybody would be kind enough to do that for me I would be much obliged. My email address is waddy_wad_wad@hotmail.co.uk if you want to send me it. Cheers lads :chug:

You're probably much better off working from scratch with some local talent.

For starters, ~3 minutes of hi-quality multi-track audio is a massive amount of data to transfer via the Internet (particularly email). On top of that, there are a lot of other issues that you might not have thought about (copyright, plagiarism, etc).

Additionally, there's a lot more to production than the post-recording process. It'll do you a lot more good to start from the beginning of the process by recording the material yourself. Tweaking EQs and compressors is fine, but without any experience in terms of what it is that you're changing and why you are changing it, you also run the risk of developing bad production habits, as well as lacking the necessary skills to generate material for production in the first place.
