I would if my last.fm weren't so paltry. I just started a new one about a month and a half ago because of my hard drive crashing in January.

So far my top played band has only been played 57 times. So...yeah.

your list has a good deal of diversity and depth to it except you don't have a lot of music outside of europes and north americas

burning spear rocks btw \m/

a little known fact about reggae and dub is that it is almost exclusively from indian music and cultural traditions

i'd check out nusrat fateh ali khan & michael brook - night song

very accessible, hugely emotional, and incredibly beautiful

and for some background, NFAK is a singer from pakistan of qawwali music which is the traditional music of the sufis who are islamic mystics and the music is amazing

let me know what you thinks

Wow you surprise me with an actual helpful reply. Thanks, and I actually mean that.

I've heard the Bone Thugs before, I dig, but their not my favorite or anything. I've heard all of rjd2's solo full lengths, but never that one, and I love him so I'll def check it out.

It's clique and pointless to say I know, but I'll say it anyway. My last fm really only reflects about 50% of what I actually listen to. I'd probably have 500 ATCQ plays if they didn't sound so much better on my cars system.

I'm really interested in (I'm uneducated, so excuse my bad word choice here) middle eastern music, so could you recommend a good place to start?

Yeah, mainstream rap is some of my favorite, regardless of all the **** it gets from more 'intelligent' rap fans. My absolute favorites in rap though are usually the more underground guys like dalek, zion i, and cunninlynguists.

I've actually got jeffs new one, just havent listened to it. I just hope it doesn't dissapoint me like the new prodigy did.

Make some south asian recommendations then too, I need to expand my horizons.

he's really good at what he does and his early stuff like elegant gypsy is very good if you are considering it in a narrow sort of scope

however, when compared to other jazz musicians, his music and playing was originally very immature but it has slowly matured over time

very recently though his releases just suck

his highest point (and music that i think everyone should check out) has to be his work with his world sinfonia group like the grande passion omg one of the greatest albums EVER everyone should check it out
