Despite its inherent beauty I don’t wanna walk this hollow earth
That’s made up more of crust than core
‘Cause why should I pour my heart onto these empty pages
Just for you to skip to the pictures?

(Chorus)

So take pride in the little things you’re all breathing
Take pride, take pride
Don’t waste it all on empty pleasure and surface scratching glory
Don’t sell yourself short
You owe yourself more

And when it’s not the headline don’t throw away the paper
Take a look and delve inside
The best things aren’t always lights and flashing drama
Try to get further than page three

(Chorus)

If you watched the first series and laughed at all the fun
Try not to stop and stare
And mock and tear into the difficult second take
Don’t kill it before birth

(Chorus) x 2

Really neat idea, and you presented it in a great way for the most part.

The Chorus is awesome aside from the first line, I think. It's...too direct? Somehow? I don't know what exactly it is I dislike about that line, haha, but sweet song nonetheless.

Keep on keepin' on.

Cheers, I haven't written a chorus in a while because I didnt't really know ''where to start'', so I kinda just went for something simple here...

The "wanna" in the first sentence, was that intentional, or just a force of habit? not saying anything with it, just curious.
