Know any effective pop/click removal tools? Free ones, of course. :p
Got this recording I've made that has a lot of annoying clicks that I really really want to remove.
Here's my problem: (It's done.. But damned clicks!!)

Audacity works:
http://audacity.sf.net/
Also, wavosaur is a slightly different sort of tool that can do the same basic job:
http://www.wavosaur.com/
Both are free.

Sounds like jitter more than pops or clicks. If it is, have fun. It's imbeded into the data.

Cursed.. Sounds like I have to identify the tracks and recreate them then. -.-
Only took me two whole days making Pirates.. :(

Thanks for the links - tried Audacity with no luck, so I think Rupert is onto the problem.. And all I can say to that is: Damn it!

Jitter is fixable with sample-level editing. It's just tedious and you need to be good.
Audacity can do it, though the interface is a little clunky (it lacks a vertical zoom).
On the plus side, that doesn't sound like jitter to me (that typically sounds like an infinitely loud impulse at a regular interval). It's possible you've clipped in places, have a strange gate setting, had your render interrupted by background software (like an anti-virus), didn't provide natural fades in some samples or clips, were using poorly designed soft synths, or created unintentional transients. Jitter is really only an issue in the case where you have two digital devices interacting using digital data (ie, the word clock is set up improperly).
