She probably had it comming, after all she willingly married Scot Stapp that's just asking for it.

I still love the review talking about his album.

"The post grunge Fabio returns with a new album, The Great Divide, presumably named after the space between his ears."

Despite everyone jumping to conclusions about Stapp, let's not forget that 2 years ago his wife threw a cellphone at his face so hard that he had to go get stitches.

It takes two.

Let's also not forget his DUI and sex tape scandals. Or his drunk in public scandals. Or his violence scandals. Or his being drunk on TV scandals.

It takes two for domestic violence to occur but it only takes one for Scott Stapp to be a douchebag.

Invicta_Veritas
05-22-2007, 08:39 PM
I'm just pointing out the fact that every time a domestic violence thing comes up, people always blame Stapp. In reality, she's just as much of a drunk, violent person as he is.

But Stapp has turned into quite the douche, OASN.

I dont know, she threw a cell phone at a guy with a huge history of violence and whatnot, so it was probably for a reason.

Invicta_Veritas
05-22-2007, 09:04 PM
Yea, but according to the news history and whatnot, that was actually one of the first major incidents between those two, so I'm assuming they've both been at fault for quite some time.

Edit: Nevermind. I thought I remembered this, and I was right. This is a different wife. The last wife threw cellphones at him and ****. He's just being an *** this time around. Haha.

"Are they or aren't they" Christian band.....OMFG...the band themselves repeatedly, explicitly stated they weren't Christian and refused to play Christian shows/festivals. I wish people would drop the bone already.

Meatplow

Stapp does a lot of Christian posing in interviews and onstage. He often gives speechs that seems over the top and pretentious to some, say the intro to this video that could appear Christian to some.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yZVH4wPz78

Creed however, is not a Christian band. Their music has dealt with Christian themes but they have never advocated conversion.

No sh*t. I said the same thing, just in fewer words. Stapp himself claims to be Christian, but the band is not a Christian band.

Anyway, Scott's probably gone off the drinking deep end because his solo debut failed and now he's in massive debt to the record label.

They may not be Christian but their music is bad enough to make it an understandable mistake.

Its so funny to hear about a guy who is so religious make a complete fool of himself and look like such a douchebag. The things he is getting himself into are so against what he preaches...funny stuff.

But I never wonder why so many people rip on Creed. Scott Stapp is a douche, but Mark Tremonti wrote some great stuff in that band, they honestly had some really cool stuff.

i can't believe VH1 made a "Behind the Music" episode on Creed after only like two albums. there's so much more to tell about those jerks (well Stapp in particular) as we've clearly seen.

I find it amazing how quick people are to make a deal out of the bad in a person/band.....posting videos of bad performances and stupid moments on Youtube and talking sh*t.....without bothering to also pay attention to the good things......

Watch various interviews with Stapp; he's a very collected, intelligent individual when he's not drunk and lashing out. Every singer has a good and bad side.

I have seen Creed live; they were f*cking great. But all I see on the internet are videos people post bitching about the bad shows. Every band /singer has good and bad shows.

And then I hear the nonstop bitching about the music. Well, let's face the facts, the albums themselves had great, solid production, nobody's performance was sloppy by any means, the lyrics were personal, and the songs were catchy. You go sell 25 million records, tour the world multiple times, play the Olympics, and work your *** off-----then I'll listen to you bitch about how much Creed sucked.

This isn't worth ranting about on my end, but I must say, Scott Stapp makes for some great meme.

I think Miles has a great rock voice actually, his stuff with the Mayfield Four isn't bad. Reminds me of Cornell at times.

Because I love his voice from his younger days but now he sounds like a slightly retarded soul singer. Probably not helped by the fact the music backing him sucks now.

Both. He hasn't got the range of Cornell but theres a tone in his voice that is very similar at times.

I think Miles has actually improved a little based on the previews of the new Alter Bridge songs on Youtube at Foxwoods. He seems to be going more for a natural more soul-influenced kind of a sound instead of the deplorable excess of inflection he had on the debut.

Frankly, I'm very inclined to blame that on Wind-Up Records pressure more than anything else. They're one of the shittiest money-men record labels out there. Ugh. Thank god Alter Bridge isn't with them anymore.

Hah, well he seems like he's going off the deep end. I mean.... the reckless driving charge, whatever, you can be charged with reckless driving for driving 20 over the limit, which really is nothing. But the drunken behavior, that's ridiculous.

well, i partially agree there. Creed is a good band, no doubt. Tremonti writes solid stuff, and there music is catchy. And honestly, Stapp seemed like a decent guy in interviews also.

About being a douche, i think Stapp has ascended into douche status (decended rather), but if you look at most of the people that call him a douche, their behavoir easily out-douches that of Stapp's.

He also claimed to have been the sole writing force behind Creed, something that pissed off the rest of the band immensely because it wasn't true.
