Hey dudes and ladies,
So, as I promised awhile ago, I'm going to start going through reviews that won past Review of the Month contests... it's going to take me awhile because I have to plow through the archives, but I'll get there eventually. Give me a few days to have a look, or if you guys are totally bored and want to go spelunking, you can link me to past Review of the Month winner threads and I'll slap on some rep if I haven't done so already... or if you want to wait for an insurance rep after I do the whole spread-some-around thing. I'll either get started after the 24 finale tonight (sidenote: this season has absolutely sucked, but I'm going to be a champ and still watch it), and between work and various other commitments I have this week, it might take me a couple days.
Obviously, I can't do anything about Reviewer of the Month contests at this time, because there's no real way I can put those in your profile. There might be something on the way where these kinds of awards can be placed in a user's profile, but I cannot promise you anything whatsoever due to mx's massive queue of **** to do.
There also may be an archive page coming, where there will be past links to reviews of the month, the articles and interviews, and other such things that take a lot of time and deserve to be organized into one clean page. Again, this is one of those things that will be placed at the tail-end of mx's queue, but it's something that may (or may not, we'll see) be on the horizon.
So, I'm just asking if you guys have any suggestions or concerns on how to make these contests a bit more interesting, because participation has teetered off to nothingness the past couple months. I know that I'm not giving people a lot of time to vote, but I can't stand contests in R&M where they're voting for User of the Month and not finding out the results until the last half of the following month. If you've got anything for me - recommendations, ideas, what-have-you - I'm down to consider anything.
Just a heads-up for now.
Cheers,
Jom
