Awesome, I have all 4 of their full lengths and they're all really, really good. Even Static Prevails, which I wasn't expecting too much from.


Clarity > Futures = Bleed American > Static Prevails

I only have Futures, and it's pretty good. Saw them live once, and their show's pretty tight. Dunno if I'd see them again though.

I've got Clarity & Bleed American, I prefer Clarity. I'll have heard a couple of their songs from their other two albums but they don't compare to Clarity or Bleed American standards.

Futures is my favourite album of all time. The production on some of the songs is perfect.
I like everything they've done pretty much since joining a major, their stuff before that when they were more punk was pretty terrible.

It's true though. Futures introduced me to them, but then I discovered those two albums and found that they were much better.

All of their albums rule, that's whats great about them, I wouldn't say there's been a dramatic decrease in quality between any of the albums.

I bought Bleed American (now self titled) back in 2001 when it came out. I really really loved it, but my mom's van ate it, and I never re-bought it. I just downloaded it again a month or so ago, and I still think it's a damn good CD. Not really much like anything I listen to now, but I'll always love it for nostalgic reasons.

Anybody else think that the demos for the new album are quite disappointing, except for a couple of songs?
I'm hoping that the final thing is a lot better. These recordings were done almost a year ago, so at least they've had a lot of time to progress.

I bought bleed american a few years back based on the song sweetness and I was pretty impressed with the album as a whole. I never got any of their other albums though based on the lack of a single that drove me to get it

WHAT?! Futures was weak, compared to Bleed American. But it is almost like comparing apples and oranges. I think its pretty good and almost as good as BA.

This new album turned out a bit too poppy and overproduced. I really liked the darker mood of Futures and "Gotta Be Somebody's Blues" is the only song that has that same mood. That said, those who love BA will most likely love this one too.
