how would I go about completely and utterly deadening a room? and is that even something I'd want to do? it's a small room in my attic maybe 14x11. I'm going to build a few bass traps. should I cover my walls with something to stop reflections?

deaden or soundproof?

regardless, you want to work on the windows and doors first.

Then make sure you have bass traps in the corners. Then get studio foam and put them everywhere. If you don't have the funds, use really thick carpet and blankets (get some old **** from Goodwill or something) and hang it about a foot from the walls. And if you can, try not to get any parallel walls.

Really hard, but that's why people put matresses in the corners of the rooms to stop the reverb.
