Beaten. :upset:

It's really hard to narrow it down to the best song ever. Two of the earliest ones to come to my mind are:

At the Bottom of Everything by Bright Eyes
Tennis Court Soundtrack by Daphne Loves Derby

Well giving this subject much thought I have to say the best is either Mama Said or The Unforgiven.

I took the idea of Welcome Home (Sanitarium) where it starts out with a slow harmony then gets heavy.. and reversed it.

So you ripped off a tune right? Yeah. Ok.

Secondhand Serenade does some classy stuff.

As far as the best acoustic song though, I'd say either 'cute without the 'e'', 'the quiet things that noone ever knows' or 'hear you me' by taking back sunday, brand new and jimmy eat world

Its not overrated and you've got to admit its better than most of the power chords on an acoustic that a lot of people were naming.

It is overrated. It has some good songs but that's it. I never understood all the hype, really.

Power chords and original chords aren't what makes a song good. It's finding the perfect balance between music and melody. Just because something is easy to play doesn't make it any less beautiful than something that is harder if it's done properly.

Neutral Milk Hotel is really really easy to play. I dont know if you have actually heard the album or not.

They weren't bad because it had power chords...that was just a feature of their overall suckage.

Plus who really plays power chords on acoustic songs??

First of all, I thought most American Football was electric? Cool acoustic sound on their myspace songs if it's not.

also, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is an amazing album, pretty emotional stuff on there.

Other acoustic stuff I like are the Demo #1 and Demo 3# (Brothers) by Brand New, they're so good. And some of the stuff by I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business, and A Lack of Colour and I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab.

Paco is indeed cool, however the best acoustic song[s] were probably sung by Kurt Cobain in his Nirvana Unplugged MTV session in New York 1993.

Also "If I had a Rocket Launcher" by Bruce Cockburn is awesome acoustic.
