well i know Matt Bellamy uses a Korg Kaoss pad built into his guitar to create some neat effects, but is there another way i can get some good synth effects from my guitar?

the kaoss is a sampler right? so are there any others that i can plug my guitar into and get some nice sounds out of?

to give you an idea of what i'm looking for take a listen to this song

FreeAmp2 has a synth built into it. I've never really figured it out quite well, but the presets could help you get started.

Of course, you'll need a VST Host and a computer+hardware that'll let you play in real-time.

No. Not unless your guitar has MIDI pickups.

There is a pedal that that doesn't necessarily recreate a synth effect, but it recreates the sound of an organ. The POG..anyone fool around with it?
