For those of you in or have been in bands, i was wondering if any of you've played with (or in for that matter) any well known bands? Its been a while (a year or two lol) but ive shared the stage with... UK subs(x2), GBH, Goldblade, Subhumans (x2), sonic boom six, eddie and the hot rods and Glen Matlock. Pretty wierd meeting some of these guys considering at the time they were my idols! Any of you had similar experiences?
Peace, Rowan

Thats some pretty cool bands there, nice one!
On June 2nd my band will be supporting Devil Sold His Soul. I'd never heard of em lol but when I told my friends they went crazy and creamed their pants.
Also, we were reviewed/interviewed in the same issue of FUSE Magazine as The Others and Imperial Vipers (Sharkey knows who they are :p )

My band was going to be the opener for Hawthorne Heights one time at this local church-run concert venue type place. But then we got kicked off and someone else was listed to play that night, and he switched us to the next night when nobody famous was playing. So we were pretty mad about that.
It's cool though, Hawthorne Heights annoys me anyway.

Hi five!

Hi five!

Definitely a bad thing!
Hi five :chug:
IV supported Hanoi Rocks on my birthday last year
Towers would have been really cool, IF Donny hadn't have gone on Big Brother or ....Buzzcocks (I was hanging out with Rev the day after they recorded it actually, that was in December, little did I know what would follow in the months before it was broadcast).
> All the diehard, long time Towers fans hate them (me included, but I only liked them for about a year before it all went sour)
> All the kids in college who'd never have heard of them otherwise hate them.
> In conclusion Donny ****ed up the best PR opportunity any band could ever have wished for, which I hate him for doing. Idiot.
It would have been cool to tour with them if they'd remained at last-november levels of publicity. still well on their way, but without everyone thinking they're retards.
They're cunts as well, like seriously I've been to my fair share of VIP parties, but at the one at SiN after their gig with Backyard Babies they were all wankers. I mean you go up to Rev wanting to talk amps (because I wasn't sure what amp I'd be using =/) for him to try and push you away and yell at you for drinking the free vodka =/. seriously.
Don't even get me started on how the skinheads I know totally owned Donny in camden once. ahahah. little rich "punk" doesn't even know who the Cockney Rejects are.

PS whats your band called???
I dunno why, but you've given me a sort of Wild Youth vibe from what you've said, hmm.

http://www.myspace.com/prettysuspects is the old band, what a bunch of idiots.

The Swellers(been on the news of sputnik music lately)
I don't recognize too many of the bands in this thread, I suspect alot are just famous locally... But I have heard of the Swellers, I saw them do a gig here and they were actually really good. I don't even like punk music in general but I liked them enough to buy a CD!

Slightly off topic, but Damo, has your band got a myspace or something similar where I can check out your music? If your music is anything like that of the bands you've supported, it'll be right up my street.

I played a festival headlined by The Who.
Pipedown and Red Lights Flash were pretty big if you're into that kinda thing, as was Break The Silence (ex Rise Against). I've also shared the bill with loads of B-List bands from the UK, infact, most of the Hidden Talent Roster (Sonic Boom Six etc)
Its a start I guess :)

We play just about every show with That Band With The Fat Kids. Despite us being metal and them being ska o_O; Wicked cool local band that lives about 5 minutes away. I've known these guys for a while.
